This page matches the scripts on the site as of 23 October 2026. Measurement, session recording and advertising load by default; pressing Reject turns them off and is remembered for 180 days.
From my notes. I checked the built HTML before publishing. The only third-party <script src> in the first response is the Google Analytics tag. Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units are created by the site's own loaders from URL strings, so their hosts are not requested until the page script runs; a stored Reject stops those requests on later page views. Fonts are self-hosted and there is no tag manager.
Who we are
The site is modernwarfare4.org. Privacy mail goes to [email protected]. We are not Activision, Infinity Ward or Microsoft, and we do not run an account system or ask you to create a password here.
The operator of this domain is the controller for the choice stored in your browser. Hosting and email delivery are described under "Hosting and contact messages" below; they are not browser scripts.
What loads, and when
Default load. On a first visit there is no stored choice, so the page treats the visit as granted: Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, the two Adsterra placements and YouTube (only when you press Play) are allowed to start on the first page view. The cookie banner is information plus a withdrawal control, not a gate. Pressing Reject writes a denial, stops later page views for 180 days, and removes the Clarity and Adsterra tags this page view already created; the Google tag cannot be unloaded with the HTML, so Reject updates its consent signals to denied and it stops writing measurement cookies. Pressing Accept, or reopening Cookie settings in the footer, records a grant and clears a remembered Social Bar dismissal. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is treated as Reject.
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), measurement ID G-Y527MCW6T1. gtag.js loads from www.googletagmanager.com on every page, so Google receives the requested URL, your IP address, user agent and referrer. Consent Mode v2 runs before the tag is configured: analytics_storage starts granted, so the page view is counted and Google may write its first-party cookies _ga and a per-property _ga_<container> cookie (observed as _ga_0MPEFNKSMC; the suffix is Google's container id, not the measurement id), each up to two years, even before you answer the banner. The three advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) start denied, ads_data_redaction is on, and Reject keeps them denied. Purpose: count page views and see which guides are read, so thin pages can be rewritten. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in aggregate measurement; you may object with Reject or by mailing us. Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from sites.
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), project ID z23vg5k6kr. The loader creates https://www.clarity.ms/tag/z23vg5k6kr on the first page view; the tag is not an eager script in the HTML. Clarity receives the page URL, your IP address, user agent, referrer, and interaction data behind heatmaps and session replays: clicks, taps, scrolls, pointer movement, page rendering timings and console errors. It sets the first-party cookies _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (one day) and may set CLID; it also uses browser storage so the page views of one visit group into one recording. Text typed into form fields and other flagged content is masked by default and is not shown in the replay. Purpose: see which parts of a guide people cannot use, so they can be fixed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site; you may object, ask what was recorded, or request deletion at the contact address. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Adsterra (Adsterra Network LP), publisher ID 3403020, website ID 6144020. Two placements run: a Native Banner (ad unit 31878524, NativeBanner_1) in the content column and a Social Bar (ad unit 31878525, SocialBar_1), the strip fixed at the bottom of the viewport. Neither invoker script is in the HTML we send. The site's loader creates https://bicea.org/21/56e334846e43c7f0d04e828e0fb75349 and https://bicea.org/14/d2f15b2b6a41f42247e49a30745eb614 on the first page view unless the stored choice is Reject or your browser sends Global Privacy Control / Do Not Track. Once loaded, Adsterra receives your IP address, the page URL, referrer, user agent and viewport size, and sets its own cookies on bicea.org and through creative served by its demand partners, used for frequency capping, bot protection and delivery measurement. Those names are assigned by Adsterra and can change; Cloudflare bot management on the ad host may set __cf_bm (30 minutes), and the Social Bar uses a sb_main_… / sb_count_… pair keyed to unit 31878525. Adult advertising is switched off at the Adsterra website level; no popunder, interstitial, banner or Smartlink format runs here. Purpose: fund the guides. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in advertising revenue, with the Reject control above as your opt-out; where local law requires consent, the recorded choice is that consent. Adsterra Privacy Policy.
YouTube (Google). On pages with a video, the poster image is requested from i.ytimg.com by default. Pressing Play creates an www.youtube-nocookie.com iframe, which receives your IP address, browser/device information, referrer and request time and may use Google cookies or device storage under Google's own policy; privacy-enhanced mode is not a promise of no processing or no ads. Purpose: show a cited trailer. The poster request is part of the default page load; loading the video player is your action. Reject does not cancel an already requested poster or disable a later, explicit Play action. Google Privacy Policy, YouTube Terms.
No other third-party script runs on these pages. There is no Google AdSense, no second advertising network, no tag manager, no social embed and no traffic-mesh or banner SDK.
Storage on your browser
Site-owned localStorage keys: mw4.consent stores JSON with choice (granted or denied) and exp (an expiry timestamp), retained 180 days, purpose: remember Accept or Reject. mw4.ads.closed stores 1 after you close the Adsterra Social Bar, retained until you clear site data or press Accept again, purpose: keep the strip closed on later page views instead of letting it return on every refresh. No other first-party cookie or storage key is written by this site.
Vendor cookies: Google Analytics _ga and _ga_0MPEFNKSMC (up to two years, first-party, written on the first page view); Microsoft Clarity _clck (up to one year), _clsk (one day) and possibly CLID (first-party); Adsterra and its partners set cookies on bicea.org and creative domains, which may include __cf_bm (30 minutes) and the Social Bar's sb_main_… / sb_count_… pair, with retention set by Adsterra. Pressing Reject stops these scripts on later page views; requests already sent cannot be recalled, and cookies already written can be removed in your browser's site-data settings.
If navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, or Do Not Track is 1, the site writes choice: denied and does not treat the visit as accepted: the Clarity and Adsterra loaders do not run and the Google advertising signals stay denied.
Legal basis, retention and your rights
We rely on legitimate interests for aggregate measurement (Google Analytics 4), site-improvement recording (Microsoft Clarity) and advertising revenue (Adsterra), and on your action for a YouTube player. The banner records a grant or a denial for 180 days; Reject is the Object control for all three, and Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner. Where local law requires consent for a vendor, the recorded choice is the consent, and no later page view overrides a denial until it expires or you clear site data.
Retention: the consent record and the Social Bar dismissal live in your browser for 180 days or until you clear them; vendor cookies follow the lifetimes above; server and email records are kept only as long as needed to answer a request or meet a legal obligation. You can ask for access, correction or deletion of a message you sent us, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. Email [email protected]. We do not sell personal data and we do not keep a marketing list.
Personalized-advertising controls: Google My Ad Center, Google Ads Settings, Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, Your Online Choices (EU) and Network Advertising Initiative. Adsterra's own data-subject routes are in its privacy policy. These are external preference tools, not additional vendors on this site.
Policy changes are made by editing this page and its updated date; the previous text is replaced in full rather than hidden.
Hosting and contact messages
The built site is served from our own host behind Cloudflare, and contact mail is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator's inbox. Delivering a page necessarily processes your IP address, requested URL and browser headers; forwarding a message processes the address and the message so we can reply. These are hosting and mail services, not browser scripts. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
