Install size
Preload times and download size
PC is about 115 GB on an SSD. Console install size was not published in the pages checked on 23 October 2026.
From my notes. On the Steam app page I read 115 GB next to the SSD requirement. The PC blog lists the same class of install and says TPM 2.0 plus Secure Boot are mandatory. I did not find a matching gigabyte figure for PS5, Xbox or Switch 2, so those stay unmarked rather than guessed.
Preload window
Console preload started 14 October 2026 at 21:00 PT. PC preload started 15 October 2026 at 09:00 PT. Optional content packs, including a Warzone pack, could be skipped. Skipping them does not shrink the campaign and multiplayer base by a published amount.
If the download looks larger than 115 GB, check language packs and leftover Call of Duty shares. Switch 2 language packs download separately. Specs are on PC requirements.
Why the folder is large
The PC client carries campaign, multiplayer and DMZ assets, plus high-resolution textures. Activision's minimum GPU class is a Radeon RX 470, GeForce GTX 970, GTX 1060 or Arc A580, with 8 GB of system RAM. Recommended is 16 GB and a much newer GPU.
There is a conflict on the recommended NVIDIA card: the official blog says GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and the Steam page says RTX 3060. Until Activision reconciles that line, treat the blog as the support text and the Steam line as a store mismatch. See the spec table.
