Ending explained

From my notes. I pulled the death list from Game8's ending write-up and the separate death list that omits Dunn. I am marking Dunn as not shown dead, which is not the same sentence as 'Activision confirmed he lives'.

Play

Who dies

Gaz is executed by The Archer. The Archer also kills Valeria. Price kills Graves, Makarov and The Archer. Ri Seung-Ho is killed by his sister Ri Ju-Young. Park kills Ri Ju-Young. Price dies of his wounds after the duel. Ghost lives and leaves with the EMP.

Dunn is not on Game8's death list and is not described with a death scene. Treat 'Dunn survives' as an inference, not a quoted confirmation. Task Force 141 is disbanded.

Post-credits

Laswell deletes the 141 files, clears a notebook and meets a successor. The scene points at the Korean DMZ and a 'Watcher Program'. The successor is not named. I am not guessing who that is.

Questions

Does Price die in Modern Warfare 4?

Yes. He dies of his wounds at the end of Greater Good, after killing The Archer.

Does Ghost die?

No. He takes the EMP.

Does Dunn die?

He is not on the published death list. That is not an official survival quote.
