Story

Story, without the ending

Two leads, one war. This page stops before who dies.

From my notes. I used Activision's story-so-far post for the previous games and the campaign page for this one's setup. I closed the ending articles before writing, so the deaths are not in this summary.

What you need from earlier games

Modern Warfare (2019) is Urzikstan, Barkov and Farah. Modern Warfare II brings Shepherd, Shadow Company, Valeria and Makarov. Modern Warfare III kills Soap, and Price kills Shepherd. You can follow MW4 without replaying them, but those names come back.

In this game Price is wanted. Laswell contacts him. The Archer, played by Mads Mikkelsen, is described as the Russian defense minister behind Konni. A coup inside the Ri family runs alongside an invasion of South Korea. An EMP is the object everyone is chasing.

Structure

Park's scenes are the invasion now. Price's scenes are the hunt, set five days earlier, until the two meet in Hajin. Hajin is fictional. Ghost is in the story. Nothing on the official pages says he 'turns bad'. Arguments about that are opinion, and this page does not grade him.

The ending, including post-credits, is on ending explained. Cast spellings are on cast.
