MW4 versus MW3
Different release years, different third modes, different Steam ratios on the day I checked.
From my notes. I used Wikipedia for MW3's identity and the Steam pages for the review ratios. I did not play both campaigns back to back for this page, so the comparison stays on published facts.
What changed
MW4's campaign is 16 single-player missions set around Hajin, New York, Paris and Mumbai. MW3 is the prior reboot entry, in which Soap dies. MW4's third mode is DMZ, not Zombies. Ranked is absent at MW4's launch.
Steam, 23 October 2026: MW4 at 90 percent of 2,920 reviews. MW3's English page showed 45 percent of 10,862. The samples are not the same size. Price for MW4 Standard is $69.99. Buy links are on where to buy.
